I recall when I had my very first office job, with my own little office door and its singular window out looking the staff parking lot. The quarters were small, but I loved it. Why - because although it may have been small I was still able to bring in my personal coffee maker. Back then TAGJOE wasn’t available. I either had to bring in my own coffee or use what the company offered which came in huge boxes and lord knows how long ago it was roasted little lone ground. Every cup tasted like the last cup – bitter and stale. Having the advantage of having my own little coffee maker in my office eliminated that dreaded first bitter swallow to numb the senses to the rest to follow. I could bring in my own coffee. Well it soon caught on that my office was the spot to be for that morning cup of coffee and I began to feel more like a coffee cafĂ© than an office employee. If it wasn’t other employees coming to grab a cup out of my pot, it was the one who snuck my coffee out of my office to brew in the company break room. The disappearing coffee and playing coffee host to fellow employees was beginning to get a bit pricey. Eventually I just took my pot home.
Fast forward to current days. I still work in an office, but it is a much larger office with a much better view and once again I have my personal coffee maker in my office – but there has been a drastic change. My coffee now has on each and ever packet – From the Desk of Dorothy. I no longer have to cringe over the company break room coffee, nor do I have a problem with coffee mysteriously disappearing from my office. I do however still have a pretty decent flow of fellow employees begging for a cup of my Joe. But that I can live with for now.. Thanks TAGJOE for coming through for this up and coming coffee loving office employee.
Sincerely;
Dorothy

I can sure relate to the problems of having your own coffee pot as opposed to drinking the office sludge. Since it falls to the person who drinks the last cup to make the next pot, you are at their mercy. They may like it weak as tea and they may want it to march out of the pot and into the cup by itself. That's why I bought my own pot for my office. It got to a point that just about everyone wanted a cup of 'my good coffee', made in a clean pot everytime, and no one wanted to pay for it. Of course, no one wanted to help at all, except to drink it. I was feeling like the little red hen of the office. Then I found TAGJOE. My lifesaver!
ReplyDeleteFortunately, my office has a door and a window. In order to keep my TAGJOE safe from others I open the window while it is brewing and I put it in a thermos. I keep the thermos out of sight under my desk. I've had a few close calls! I really don't want to have to share my stash.
ReplyDeleteI just started a new job on Monday and I'm ready to quit, and it was only Wednesday! I'm a big coffee drinker and the stuff they call coffee here would clog up a drain. I told my wife that if I was going to stay with this job we would have to convert the entire office to TAGJOE. I went in early and cleaned up the area. I made a fresh pot and sat down to watch the reactions. Everyone was amazed and ready and willing to pay whatever they needed to get more of this coffee. I told them the price wasn't much different than what they were getting now. Everyone agreed that the change should be made. Now, I can stay!
